Taste of San Nicolas is a Friday-evening tour of the far south of Aruba. It covers the street-art murals, the food and the town, and it runs four hours for over-18s.

Why Taste of San Nicolas goes where it does

San Nicolas sits about forty minutes from the high-rise hotels. Most visitors never get there at all.

The town grew up around the oil refinery. As a result it has a completely different character from Palm Beach. It is also where the island’s murals are, painted across whole buildings.

The practical reason to pay attention

Two of the best snorkeling sites are down here too. Baby Beach and Mangel Halto are both in the south.

Plenty of people drive down, see the beach and drive straight back. Therefore they miss what is fifteen minutes inland.

Timing and alternatives

It runs on Friday evenings only, from 4:45 PM. So book early in your trip if Friday is tight.
